Summer is upon us and that means it is time for lots of great outdoor activities! With the 4th of July just days away, it’s time to get last-minute plans together for the Holiday festivities! Here are some tips for where you may want to watch the fireworks and other ways to spend your weekend in the San Diego area.

Independence Day on the Bay

University City is the Place to be in July

From 4th of July celebrations to summer concerts and movies in the park, University City is the place to be this July. Some activities include a 1-mile Fun Run and 5K on the 4th, The Greatest Showman playing on the 19th, and rock concerts every other weekend. Make Old Town your Saturday Destination

“Old Town San Diego State Historic Park celebrates 19th-century life in early San Diego with a series of annual special events that will both educate and enlighten visitors of all ages. These events kick off on July 4th and run five Saturdays during July and August.” Family-friendly special events include a celebration of San Diego’s 250th birthday and festivities celebrating “Women of the West” and “Twainfest”. This summer brings weekly concerts for all ages to Bahia Resort, Pechanga Arena, Waterbar, Campland on the Bay, and more.
