Let the Evening Carols Ring
With cooler weather setting in (don’t mind the wonderful warm summer-like weather we had this weekend!), holiday lights have been starting to pop up around the city. Not ones to miss out, Santee’s Trolley Square will be hosting their annual Holiday Lighting Celebration for all this Saturday from 5:30 – 8:30 pm. Join in for the tree lighting at 6:30 pm, hoilday crafts, sleigh rides, sledding (!), photos with Santa, live music, caroling, and more all while you sip on some hot cocoa. Parking is limited, so it is recommended that you sled in on the Green Line for this event!

Come celebrate and don’t forget to save the date!

Join Mother Goose and Her Flock
Since 1947, the Mother Goose Parade in El Cajon has brought festive cheer to East County in the lead up to the holiday season. One of the biggest parades in the country and the biggest parade in the county, Mother Goose is a fall spectacle for the whole family. Come out to watch drill teams, marching bands, giant helium balloons, equestrian teams strutting their stuff, and even Santa Claus! Stay informed of the parade route, start and end times, featured floats and guests, and more here!
Holiday Street Fun
Since 1989, the Holiday Street Fair has been a showcase for artisans of art, crafts, antiques, food, and drinks for the local Encinitas and larger San Diego community. As it has grown, additional entertainment in the form of live music, kids and dog zones, rides, and dancing have continued to make this event one you can’t miss. With the holidays right around the corner, don’t miss your chance to grab some great gifts while enjoying fun in the sun this Sunday!
Thanksgiving Fun Run for the Hungry
San Diegans and visitors from far and wide have been dedicating their Thanksgiving mornings to benefit those facing hunger in our city since the inception of the 5K/10K Thanksgiving Day run/walk in 2000. Join others running towards a vision to ensure no one needs to face hunger on November 28th from 7 – 10 am at the Westfield Horton Plaza Mall. Tickets for this fun run can be found here and will benefit the Jacobs and Cushman San Diego Food Bank.
As always, have a great week and Live Long in San Diego!
