Moving to San Diego: Exploring the Bankers Hill Neighborhood in San Diego, California

Are you searching for the perfect place to live? Somewhere jam-packed with restaurants 👩‍🍳, outdoor activities 🏞️, and central to all San Diego has to offer 🌇? Well, then I have the ideal place for you, welcome to Bankers Hill located in the heart of downtown San Diego!

One of the many features of this neighborhood is the suspension bridge off of Spruce Street. An Instagram hot spot where you can get some awesome shots to fillup your stories 😊 Right near this area is a hopping food and lifestyle scene that also features some great real estate so you can call Bankers Hill home.

Fifth Avenue is the artery of it all. This street is where you will see the hustle and bustle of city life. It boasts restaurants such as the famous Extraordinary Desserts 🍰. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out. The decadent dishes change every day and are to masterpieces to both look at and eat. There is also my favorite spot to grab a coffee, James Coffee, which is known for its delicious cold brew and owl logo ☕. Lastly, Thread and Seed, which is a home furnishing store and is a great place to go to get the perfect decor for your downtown pad.

On Fifth and Laurel is the entrance to the vast Balboa Park. Around this area is Cocina Urbana, a fabulous Italian food restaurant, The Corner Draft House, Mister A’s, and the new one on the block: Ill Dandy. All of these places boast raving reviews and are all a great spot to hit up with friends, family, or even the pup! You’ll never go hungry around here, that is for sure!

Possibly the best part of living in Bankers Hill is its central location. Not only are you surrounded by some of the best restaurants and activities San Diego has to offer, but you are only a ten-minute ride from the airport and a few minutes from the beach. You get the best of both worlds, city life, and beach life! That convenience is key.

If you are interested in making Bankers Hill home 🏡, I would love to help you! With a mix of new construction and historic homes, the area truly has something that can pique anyone’s interest. With Balboa Park close by, this is an excellent spot for people with furry friends or children 🐶. The area is always having events throughout the year and is overall just a fantastic place to settle down.

I Love a Parade! High Traffic Flooring Options

A nice deep pile carpet can look great in your home, but if you have a lot of foot traffic then it’s just asking for trouble. Not only will you have to work harder to keep it clean, but you’ll also have to replace it sooner than you’d like because all those feet and shoes will leave their mark over time. If you want nice-looking floors without worrying about your own personal parade wearing them down before their time, you need to find a flooring option that’s better suited for high-traffic areas.
